We’re thrilled to share that our 25 by 2025 Zoom Call was a resounding success! We had more than 287 registrants and 85 people joined the call. Attendees joined from all over the country including California, Oregon, Oklahoma, Arkansas, Texas, Pennsylvania, Illinois, North Carolina, New York, Iowa, Tennessee, and beyond. There were a variety of industries and individuals on the call including animal shelters, domestic violence shelters, funders, veterinary clinics, domestic violence survivors, and more. We also streamed our 25 by 2025 launch video on Facebook to reach even more folks!
Our Director of Collaboration and Outreach, Katie Campbell, led the call. She discussed what the movement is, the benefits of being a pet-friendly shelter, funding opportunities, upcoming Don’t Forget the Pets workshops and special presentations, and how folks can join the movement by downloading the toolkit and displaying their 25 by 2025 badge.
A few comments during the call included:
“Thank you so much for all you have done. I am a DV survivor and RedRover gave me a domestic violence grant in 2012. I love your organization and thank you for all you do for people and their pets.”
“I would love to get our vet students involved in this. Thank you for the info.”
“Thanks for what you are doing to support organizations in making this important change. We’re proud to be on this journey with you.”When the presentation concluded we received so many positive comments and promises to join the movement. The next day, all 287 registrants and attendees received a follow-up email that included the presentation, slides, and resources.
